Senior Backend Engineer
Senior Backend Engineer building backend services and integrations for LeanX cross-border and stablecoin products. Role sits in the Sarajevo engineering team focused on payments, remittances, and crypto-enabled financial products.
What you'll do
- Design and maintain scalable backend services in Java and Python
- Build and maintain integrations with payment providers, banks, and blockchains
- Ensure transaction reliability, security, and data consistency across systems
- Drive architecture, performance improvements, and reduce technical debt
- Review code, set standards, and mentor other engineers

- 5+ years building and running backend systems in production
- Strong Java 17+ experience and hands-on Python
- Experience with REST APIs and microservices architectures
- Knowledge of PostgreSQL, Redis, and messaging systems (Kafka, RabbitMQ)
